This website is operated by LOKO, located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to LOKO. By visiting our site or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to these Terms, including those additional terms and policies referenced herein (such as our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy).

2. Products, Materials & Care Disclaimers

LOKO designs and fabricates minimal, sculptural homewares and tabletop objects crafted from plant-based bioplastics (such as PLA) and modern polymers.

• Natural Fabrication Characteristics: Because our pieces are precision-fabricated using additive manufacturing techniques, subtle layer textures or minor surface variations are natural characteristics of the craft and are not considered defects.

• Product Care & Heat Sensitivity: Unless explicitly stated otherwise on the product page, our plant-based bioplastic homewares are designed for indoor use. Do not place items in the dishwasher, microwave, or oven, and avoid prolonged exposure to direct high heat (above 50°C / 122°F). Clean gently with lukewarm water and mild soap.

• Color Accuracy: We make every effort to display the colors and textures of our products accurately, but we cannot guarantee that your device’s screen display will perfectly reflect the physical shade.

3. Pricing, Currency & Taxes

• Unless otherwise indicated, all prices listed on lokoshop.ca are in Canadian Dollars (CAD).

• Applicable federal and provincial sales taxes (GST, PST, or HST) are calculated automatically at checkout based on your shipping destination.

• We reserve the right to update product prices, promotional offers, or free-shipping thresholds (such as our Free Tracked Shipping on orders over $75) at any time without prior notice.

4. Orders, Billing & Account Accuracy

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including suspected fraud, pricing or typographical errors, or raw material availability. If we make a change to or cancel an order, we will notify you via the email address or phone number provided at checkout and issue an immediate refund if payment was captured. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate shipping and billing information for all purchases.

5. Shipping, Delivery & Risk of Loss

• Shipping Rates: Shipping charges are calculated at checkout according to our regional flat-rate zones or promotional free-shipping thresholds.

• Delivery Estimates: Estimated delivery windows are provided for convenience and are not guaranteed against courier or weather delays.

• Address Accuracy & Lost Packages: Please verify your shipping address carefully at checkout. LOKO is not responsible for packages delivered to an incorrect address supplied by the customer. Title and risk of loss for all items pass to you upon our handoff of the parcel to the shipping carrier, though we will always assist you in filing carrier claims if a package is lost or damaged in transit.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on lokoshop.ca—including 3D product designs, CAD geometries, photographs, logos, text, graphics, and brand elements—is the exclusive intellectual property of LOKO and is protected by Canadian and international copyright and design laws. You may not reproduce, duplicate, 3D-scan, copy, sell, or exploit any portion of our products or website content for commercial purposes without express written permission from LOKO.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, LOKO, its founders, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or any products purchased from us (including damage caused by improper use, exposure to extreme heat, or failure to follow product care instructions). In no case shall LOKO’s total liability exceed the purchase price you paid for the specific product giving rise to the claim.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you products or services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

We reserve the right to update, change, or replace any part of these Terms by posting updates to this page. Your continued use of our website following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
